If I'm not sure what's causing my hearing loss is it best to book an assessment or see my family GP?

How much do your hearing aids cost?
We have eight major international manufacturers to choose from. Our prices start from £249 for an entry level digital aid to £1995 those instruments at the very pinnacle of technology e.g. the Phonak Audeo Ceramic
What are the different styles of hearing aids and what do they look like?
Please refer to our hearing aids page for more help.
Why are some models much more expensive than others?
Digital hearing aids have been available commercially since 1996. All hearing aid manufacturers need to maintain and increase their share of the market year on year by heavily investing in research and development
They all want to boast the most technologically advanced and innovative hearing solutions and they also need to prove the viability of their products using controlled trials.
The consequence of this is that the very best performers carry a high price premium. This isn't at the expense of the more affordable options as inevitably some of the most proven advances will filter their way into affordable products eventually.
How do I decide which is the most appropriate model?
We applaud peope who do their own research on the internet in order to get a feel for the type and styles of technology which they feel may be useful.
We think it is unwise to make decisions about hearing care based purely on paper specifications. Our expertise and knowledge of what may be suitable based on factors such as your hearing level, lifestyle, age, prior experience (to name but a few) is an important part of the service included in the price.
Anybody can read a list of comparable features and choose the instrument with the most ticks next to it. If you look at one of the most commonly compared attributes of a premium hearing aid, the number of channels or bands the Oticon Agil doesn't look great compared to its competitors. It does appear though this instrument has been so successful as it has catapulted Oticon to the fastest growing company is 2010.
Which areas do you cover?
We will cater for anyone who is willing to travel to us. Most of our clients for hearing aids come from the following areas:
Bispham, Blackpool, Cleveleys, Elswick, Fleetwood, Freckleton, Garstang, Great Eccleston, Hambleton, Inskip, Kirkham, Lancaster, Lytham St Annes, Penwortham, Preston, Ribble Valley, Southport, Thornton (CLeveleys), St Annes, Warton, Wesham.
Do you do home visits?
Yes we do home visits to clients within the boundary of the Fylde Coast. We reserve these to people who are housebound or otherwise frail customers, fearful of travelling in treacherous weather.
We are however, a 'bricks and mortar' company as opposed to online sellers. We reserve the right to refuse home visits if it is apparent that our home visit service is being requested for convenience rather than necessity.
We have invested heavily in office based sensitive calibrated equipment and soundproofing which we feel is vital for us to maintain a much higher standard of practice than our mobile only competitors.
