Our approach to aftercare is fundamentally different to the rest of the competition.

Most people want an instrument that is designed to be reliable and have some degree of protection from obsolescence.

As an independent company we are able to offer the best advice on which make and models are the most reliable whereas most of the industry is tied in one form or another to particular manufacturers.

The 2 biggest causes of hearing aid breakdowns are wax ingression and moisture ingression.

We don't settle for half measures on reliability. We look for products with nano coated casings and easy to change waxguards.

A recent study by Sergei Kochkin Ph.D of the Better hearing Institute indicated that it is possible to reduce the need for hearing aid repairs by 50% just by providing adequate wax protection.

The most popular products we sell also have GORE-TEX® microphone and battery door moisture protection.

Some national companies actually recall their customers every 6 months for an 'aftercare' visit. This usually consists of wiping over the instrument with an antiseptic towlette and changing the wax guard for you, followed by a lenghty sales pitch of new products.

We keep in touch with our customers by offering loyalty discounts on batteries and sundries and we like to think that we are approachable enough that customers will report problems as they happen.

Even if there are complications which require a complete reassessment and refitting of your hearing instrument we won't charge for our time as long as the instrument is in warranty*.

When your hearing aid is over 4 to 5 years old, of course technology will have moved on, your hearing may have changed significantly and your ears may have changed shape such that the shell will not fit as well as when the instrument was new.

We value your business and we will do what it takes to ensure that we continue to fulfill your hearing care needs, whether it means getting the best from your old instrument or giving you free trials and loyalty discounts on new ones.

*Standard warranties are 2 years which can be upgraded at a modest price to 4 years.
